Bloody clashes have broken out in Indonesia's capital Jakarta, between demonstrators and security forces over the demolition of a cemetery.
Security forces used teargas and pepper bullets against demonstrators armed with machetes and sticks around the cemetery, in the Koja area of northern Jakarta.
A city official says 29 members of the security forces were injured, nine of them seriously.
He says demonstrators thought the entire cemetery, the resting place of a revered Muslim cleric, was to be demolished, but only the old buildings and a gate are going.
