Taliban insurgents have launched a pre-dawn attack on one of Nato's biggest military bases in Afghanistan.
At least seven guerrillas died in the attack and five Nato troops were wounded.
The attack on the Bagram air base near Kabul came a day after a Taliban suicide car bomber attacked a Nato-led military convoy during rush hour in the Afghan capital.
That attack left 12 Afghan civilians and six foreign troops - five American and one Canadian - dead.
The Taliban recently announced a spring offensive against the Afghan government and foreign forces.
