Germany has suffered another blow in the countdown to the FIFA World Cup finals in South Africa.
A third member of their squad, midfielder Christian Traesch has been ruled out of the tournament with an ankle injury.
Traesch, 22, joins German captain Michael Ballack and goal keeper Rene Adler as non-starters for the trip.
Germany has not yet decided who will take over as captain.
