Dog movie tops US box office

A canine comedy starring Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson, led the North American box office for a second weekend on Sunday.

Marley & Me has made $US106.5 million in 11 days - the first Christmas holiday picture to do so this season.

Marley & Me is based on a memoir by John Grogan about a couple and their lovable Labrador retriever.

Rankings of the top pictures were unchanged from last weekend: an Adam Sandler comedy, Bedtime Stories, was second with a total of $US85.4 million.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was third with a total of $US79 million to date.

World War II thriller Valkyrie about a plot to assassinate Hitler, was fourth with a total of $US60.7 million to date. Yes Man followed with $US79.4 million to date.
