At least 16 people have been killed and scores wounded in a bombing near police headquarters in the north-western Pakistani town of Kohat. It was the second attack in two days.

Police say a car bomb exploded at the gates to a police family compound as people were breaking their fast on Tuesday during the holy month of Ramadan.

The BBC reports buildings have collapsed and people are feared trapped in the rubble.

Nineteen people were killed on Monday when a suicide car bomb hit a police station in the town of Lakki Marwat.
