The new head of the Catholic Church in Belgium has pledged to focus on the victims of sexual abuse in a first attempt to rebuild public trust.
Archbishop Andre-Joseph Leonard says that although the Church will not be able to offer immediate solutions, it would set up a victims' support centre.
An independent body set up to investigate accusations of abuse found it had occurred in every diocese over decades.
This commission said some victims were infants when the abuse started.
