An Auckland man extradited to return to Australia on Tuesday has been formally charged with murder.
David Galloway, 19, left Auckland on a 2.30pm flight to Brisbane, four hours after an extradition order was granted in North Shore District Court.
Police in Queensland say he has been charged with the murder of a Gold Coast man, Daniel Dwyer, in August. He is due to appear in court on Wednesday.
Two other men, including Malakai Lui, of Auckland, have also been charged.
