An investigation has begun into possible breaches of the Coroners Act after a journalist and cameraman were questioned at a bushfire-ravaged town in Victoria, say police.
The ABC has confirmed that one of its television news crews was detained while filming pre-arranged interviews with residents.
Police seized the footage.
Police deputy commissioner Kieran Walsh says no charges have been laid over the incident at Kinglake on Tuesday night, but further inquiries are under way.
Meanwhile, firefighters are battling to contain seven bushfires still out of control as high temperatures and strong winds are predicted towards the end of the week.
The fires have so far claimed 210 lives.
