A former Queensland politician has been arrested in Thailand.
Robert Lindsay Poole, 62, faces charges of cheating and fraud in relation to an energy company.
He was arrested on Thursday in the town of Surin. He pleaded not guilty and was released on bail at a court appearance on Friday.
The former MP resigned from the Queensland Labor Party in early 2006 after an extended period of absence when he was reported to be living in Thailand and receiving medical treatment.
