More ash from Mt Merapi

8:46 am on 3 November 2010

Mt Merapi volcano in Java has emitted more heat clouds and ash.

Officials are warning of another eruption, although possibly not as big as the one that killed 34 people last Tuesday.

That eruption drove up to 50,000 people into temporary shelters.

About 65,000 people have been displaced by eruptions from the volcano and a tsunami on the coast of Sumatra last Monday, the day before the first eruption.

There was another eruption early on Saturday also.

Merapi is Indonesia's most active volcano. Its name translates as Mountain of Fire.
