North Korea has warned that it will react strongly if the United Nations Security Council censures its launch of a long-range rocket at the weekend.
North Korea's deputy ambassador at the UN, Pak Tok Hun, did not say what steps would be taken except that they would be strong.
He repeated his country's assertion that the rocket was launched to put a satellite into space.
