England have won the opening round of the new IRB Rugby 7s season, beating defending series champions Samoa in Dubai.
England came from behind to win 29-21.
Earlier, England beat New Zealand 19-14 in the semi-finals and Samoa beat Fiji 24-21.
In the quarter-finals, New Zealand beat Wales 35-7.
The second round is in South Africa next weekend.
