Iran has marked its armed forces day with a parade outside Tehran.
Troops marched before President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who stood at a podium with army officers.
Missiles, armoured personnel carriers and unmanned surveillance aircraft were part of the parade on Saturday.
State television said the surface-to-surface Zelzal missile was also displayed.
In a relatively low-key speech, President Ahmadinejad said a strong Iranian military would help preserve stability in the Middle East.
