A court in Sudan has sentenced 11 Darfur rebels to death for an attack on Khartoum in 2008.

The members of the Justice and Equality Movement were found guilty of involvement in the assault on the Sudanese capital.

Some 80 members of the group have already been sentenced to death for the attack on 10 May last year, which left more than 200 people dead.

On Sunday, 11 more rebels were found guilty of terrorism and illegal possession of weapons. Eight others were acquitted.
