Bus passengers killed in northern India

At least 22 people, including six children, have died after a bus plunged into a gorge in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand.

Police say 19 others were injured in the crash, which occurred when the bus was returning with holidaymakers from the popular hill town resort of Mussoorie, AFP reports.

The bus was carrying 42 passengers when it skidded off a mountain road and crashed 15km from the state capital Dehradun.
