Qantas has agreed to pay $A26 million to settle a class action lawsuit after a United States court found the company, along with other airlines, guilty of price-fixing.

The carriers were found to have colluded over freight charges between 2000 and 2006.

A Qantas spokesperson says there have been a number of class actions, including in Europe, and it looks forward to closing the US case.
