At least 30 miners are reported to have been trapped by an explosion in a coal mine in north-eastern Colombia.
Sardinata mayor Yamile Rangel said eight other men in the La Preciosa mine have been found, although their condition is not clear.
The BBC reports at least four men have been killed and many others are unaccounted for.
La Preciosa mine is in Norte de Santander department near the border with Venezuela.
In February 2007, a gas explosion at the same mine killed more than 30 men.
Nine men died at two mines in the Cundinamarca region of Colombia last November.
Colombia is one of the world's largest coal exporters.
