NZ business seen as "in denial" about climate change

An international aid agency claims New Zealand business is in denial about climate change.

The criticism comes as 800 private sector leaders prepare to meet on the issue in Copenhagen at a world business summit.

The only New Zealander attending is the head of the accountancy firm, Deloitte.

A spokesperson for Oxfam, Marianne Elliott, says many companies still have their heads in the sand.

Ms Elliott says some strong voices from industry are still looking for loopholes and excuses to not act on climate change.
