Earthquake in central Mexico

A 5.7 magnitude earthquake was recorded in central Mexico on Friday.

Buildings in the colonial city of Puebla and Mexico City were shaken, but there were no immediate reports of casualties or major damage.

The US Geological Survey said the quake occurred 60km south of Puebla at a depth of 97km.

The quake was initially estimated at magnitude 5.6.
