The Australian weather bureau says it is tracking a line of severe thunderstorms moving across much of southern Queensland on Monday.
A warning has been issued for damaging winds and large hail to many areas hit in recent devastating floods, the ABC reports.
Forecaster Brett Harrison says the storms are very severe. The most intense cell has passed through Ipswich and is moving toward the northern suburbs of Brisbane.
More than 10,000 homes and businesses have lost power.
