Roger Federer of Switzerland will play Robin Soderling of Sweden in the final of the French Open, after both survived marathon five-set semi-finals in Paris.
Federer came from a set down to beat Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina 3-6 7-6 2-6 6-1 6-4 on Friday and make his fourth consecutive tennis final in Paris.
The match lasted three hours 29 minutes.
Soderling survived a comeback from Fernando Gonzalez of Chile 6-3 7-5 5-7 4-6 6-4 to reach his first grand slam final. He earlier beat four-time champion Rafael Nadal.
Federer, 27, will take a 9-0 record over the Swede into the final at Roland Garros on Sunday.
Soderling, 24, is the first Swede to reach the final there since his coach Magnus Norman in 2000.
