Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd announced a minor cabinet reshuffle on Saturday.
The move followed the resignation of former defence minister Joel Fitzgibbon on Thursday. On Friday, Mr Rudd appointed John Faulkner to replace him.
Home Affairs minister Bob Debus also stepped down and will not recontest his seat at the next election.
The ABC reports two new faces will enter the ministry. One is the former head of the ACTU, Greg Combet.
