Disney/Pixar movie still tops US box office

A Disney/Pixar 3D animated movie remains atop the weekend box office in North America.

Up sold a further $US44.2 million worth of tickets in its second weekend in cinemas.

Four of the top five films attracted families with small children.

The Hangover was second. The film about a group of men trying to reconstruct what happened at a wild, Las Vegas bachelor party has benefited from a good buzz and positive reviews.

Land of the Lost was third at $19.5 million.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian was fourth. It made about $US54 million when it opened two weekends ago and has taken $US127 million to date.

Star Trek finished fifth for the weekend in its fifth week of release.

It has brought in $US223 million to date.

Angels & Demons was next. It has now earned more than $US400 million worldwide, making it the No. 1 film for 2009.
