At least 30 people were killed and 70 wounded in a car bombing in a market area in a town in a southern Iraqi province on Wednesday night.
An official local website said the attack occurred in Batha, a town west of Nasiriyah in the relatively quiet province of Dhiqar.
It is the deadliest attack in Iraq this month.
