Oxford won the 157th Boat Race against Cambridge by four lengths on the River Thames on Saturday.

Having won the toss and elected to start on the Surrey (southern) side, Oxford finished in a time of 17 minutes, 32 seconds.

The Surrey side of the river has the advantage of the inside of a big bend in the middle of the Thames.

Cambridge still lead overall with 80 wins to Oxford's 76 since the first race in 1829.
