Official media in China say at least 16 people have been killed and dozens injured in a factory explosion in the country's east.
The explosion happened at a privately-owned quartz sand factory in the Fengyang county of Anhui province.
The cause was not immediately clear, and the government is reported to still be gathering information.
A Chinese news agency is reporting that most of those killed were workers, while the 44 injured were all local residents.
