Anti-government protesters in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, are standing their ground, saying they don't trust President Ali Abdullah Saleh to keep his promise to step down.
Mr Saleh has agreed to hand over power to his deputy within 30 days, in exchange for immunity from prosecution after ruling for nearly 33 years.
But protesters say he must go immediately.
Earlier, Mr Saleh said Al Qaeda has infiltrated the opposition.
In an interview with the BBC, he said: ''Al-Qaeda are moving inside the camps and this is very dangerous. Why is the West not looking at this destructive work and its dangerous implications for the future?''
Mr Saleh described the weeks of protests against his rule as a ''coup''.
The BBC reports at least 130 people have died during two months of protests in Yemen inspired by uprisings elsewhere in the Arab world.
