Searchers find wanted dingoes

Australian authorities say two dingoes that attacked a three-year-old girl on Fraser Island off south-east Queensland have been captured and will be put down.

The child was waiting to board a barge back to the mainland with her family on Monday when she was bitten by the dogs.

She was taken to hospital with multiple puncture wounds to her legs.

The ABC reports that witnesses helped authorities identify the dogs, which were located and trapped.

Dingoes on the island are identified by tags and distinctive markings.
