Wedding scene at abbey top spot for tourists

8:12 am on 4 May 2011

Tourists are flocking to Westminster Abbey in London to see for themselves where Prince William and Kate Middleton were married on Friday.

One of the main attractions inside the Abbey is her wedding bouquet.

Opening times have had to be extended at the abbey as visitor numbers are up sharply.

The bridal bouquet, as per tradition, has been placed on the grave of the unknown warrior.

It is on display for a week, as is the avenue of trees along the aisle.

A Royal family spokesperson has confirmed the new Duchess of Cambridge wants her wedding dress put on display at some point too, to show off the British craftsmanship of designer Sarah Burton and the Royal School of Needlework.
