British government ministers have approved the deployment of Apache attack helicopters in Libya.
The helicopters, which could hit smaller targets belonging to Muammar Gaddafi's forces in urban areas, are expected to be sent within the next few days.
The BBC reports the French government has already approved the use of 12 similar helicopters.
