Striker Josh Kennedy scored in the 9th and 59th minutes as the Socceroos continued their recent dominance of the All Whites.
A penalty by James Troisi in injury time completed the victory before a crowd of 21,000 in the rain.
The All Whites rarely threatened the Australian goal.
The score was identical to a loss to Mexico in Denver on Thursday.
