Computer hacker group says it is disbanding

A group of high profile hackers has announced it is disbanding with one last major data release, which apparently includes internal documents from online and telecommunications companies.

The Lulz Security group, which has gained worldwide notoriety for breaching the websites of Sony, the CIA and a British police unit, says it has accomplished its mission to disrupt corporate and government bodies for entertainment.

In a bizarrely worded statement the group says a planned 50 day cruise has expired, and it must now sail into the distance, leaving behind, among other things, inspiration, fear, jealousy, hate, and even love.

However, worldwide police forces say they have made inroads into the group and there are reports it was close to being shut down.
