Badminton England pulls out of world champs

England has pulled out of the badminton world championships in Hyderabad in southern India due to security concerns for the team.

After reports of threats by Lashkar-e-Taiba, Badminton England says it is not prepared to risk the safety of its squad of eight.

However, Badminton Scotland said its players will stay. Welsh Badminton has three players at the tournament.

Badminton Scotland chief executive Annie Smilie says Badminton England had "perhaps overreacted".
