A long-lost opera by Italian composer Vivaldi has been performed for the first time in almost 300 years at Prague Castle in the Czech Republic.

Vivaldi wrote The Union of Peace with Mars for King Louis XV of France in 1727.

The opera was performed just once before most of the score with the exception of the libretto was lost, the BBC reports.
