5.9 quake

A magnitude 5.9 earthquake has occurred in the Sea of Cortez off Baja California, in Mexico.

The quake hit at 11.44 am and was at a depth of 10 kilometres, the US Geological Survey says.

There have been no immediate reports of damage.
