The family of a New Zealand woman who went missing in Sydney more than 30 years ago, hopes the release of new images might bring out new information.

Police in New South Wales have issued computer generated images of two men who were seen with Linda Suzanne Davie of Whakatane, who was 22 when she disappeared in 1980.

Police sought both men then, but this is the first time that the pictures have been made public. They say there's nothing to implicate either person.

They are also trying to locate a woman who approached them in 1980 about a potential sighting of Ms Davie on a flight to Christchurch.

Police last year posted a reward of $A100,000 to help solve the case.

Ms Davie's brother Peter says the family would really appreciate some closure.
