Shot putter Valerie Adams of New Zealand has maintained her unbeaten run in 2011, winning the latest Diamond League meeting at Crystal Palace in London.

Adams threw 20.07 metres to beat Nadezhda Ostapchuk of Belarus on Saturday. Ostapchuk's best was 19.52 metres.

Although Adams' throw was below her best for the season, it was her biggest winning margin over Ostapchuk in their four clashes this year.

Adams now leads the Diamond League Shot Put with 16 points, with Ostapchuk second on 12 and Jillian Camarena-Williams of the USA third on six points.

There is one more shot put remaining in the Diamond League, in Zurich on 8 September.

The World Championships are in Daegu, Korea, starting 27 August.
