Rockets fired into northern Israel

Two rockets have been fired into its northern Israel from Lebanon but no casualties or damage are reported.

Police say they have the remnants of a Katyusha rocket in their possession.

The Israeli military responded with eight shells fired into a fruit plantation near the city of Tyre.

The BBC reports the border has been tense, but largely quiet since 34 days of fighting between Israel and Hizbollah in 2006.
