Extra police on Monday will join a search for the body of a teenager in bushland on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.

Daniel Morcombe, 13, went missing on 7 December, 2003, while waiting for a bus. His body has never been found.

An arrest in the case was made on Saturday.

A man will appear in the Brisbane Magistrate's Court on Monday charged with five offences including murder, child stealing, indecent treatment of a child and interfering with a corpse.

Fifty police and SES volunteers on Sunday searched an area behind a macadamia farm in the Beerburrum State Forest near the Glass House Mountains, about 40km from where Daniel disappeared in 2003.

The ABC reports the area was flooded in January, making the search more difficult.
