The Maritime Safety Authority in Australia says a crude oil and gas leak off the West Australian coast is slowing.
The West Atlas drill rig has been leaking oil into the Timor Sea for more than three weeks.
A second rig has arrived in the area and work on a relief well will begin within 48 hours.
