Trustees of the Ashika Relief Fund, set up by the Tongan government to raise money for the survivors and families of the victims, had received nearly $US500,000 at the beginning of this week.
Seventy four people lost their lives when the ferry sank on 5 August.
A statement from the office of prime minister Feleti Sevele says contributions continue to pour in from around the world.
