United States officials say another senior al-Qaeda leader in Pakistan has been killed.
There has been no independent confirmation of the death of Abu Hafs al-Shahri, which reportedly happened in the Waziristan tribal region last Sunday.
The BBC reports the US frequently carries out drone strikes there.
Correspnodents are denied access to the area, making it difficult to confirm such claims and there has been no comment as yet from Pakistan.
