A powerful earthquake has jolted the Indonesian resort of Bali, causing widespread panic and injuring at least 50 people.
The magnitude-6.1quake caused panic, with people fleeing from homes and hotels on Thursday.
A hospital spokesperson says at least 50 people were hurt, many with cuts, broken bones and head wounds. Three are in critical condition.
Witnesses say the roofs of some houses collapsed and the walls of temples crumbled.
The US Geological Survey says the quake was centred 130km south- southwest of Denpasar and 60km beneath the ocean floor.
It was not strong enough to trigger a tsunami, burt was felt on Java and Lombok islands, hundreds of kilometres away.
