More aircraft to be grounded by Qantas

Qantas is to ground another two aircraft and cancel a further 80 domestic flights over the next month in response to ongoing industrial action by its engineers.

The airline says two Boeing 767 aircraft will be grounded from Monday, which will cause the cancellation of 80 flights, mainly between the eastern states and Perth.

The ABC reports seven aircraft have now been grounded, 500 flights cancelled and 88,000 seats withdrawn from sale for the next month.

Qantas says it will not give in to the union.
