A boat carrying a group of suspected asylum seekers has been intercepted off the coast of Western Australia - the 52nd this year.
The ABC reports an Australian Customs ship stopped the boat north-west of Scott Reef on Sunday afternoon.
Officials says the 38 passengers and two crew will be transferred to Christmas Island for security, identity and health checks.
