NSW floodwaters beginning to drop

5:15 am on 29 November 2011

Floodwaters in northern New South Wales are beginning to drop.

However, the ABC reports the water is not expected to completely subside until later in the week.

The Bureau of Meteorology advice says more rain is possible on Wednesday and Thursday, but the falls are not expected to be significant.

Up to 80 residents evacuated from around Moree spent Monday night in motels across the region.
