Five Polish soldiers killed by bomb

A roadside bomb killed five Polish soldiers in an attack on a NATO convoy in Afghanistan on Wednesday.

Three soldiers died at the scene. Another two were reported to have died of their wounds at a military hospital.

Poland has 2600 soldiers in Afghanistan, of whom 36 have been killed since March 2002.

NATO forces are scheduled to leave Afghanistan by the end of 2014.
