Vice President Tariq al-Hashemi of Iraq claims a series of bombings that killed nearly 70 people in the capital Baghdad was organised from within the Iraqi government.
More than 170 people were also wounded in the attacks on Thursday.
Mr al-Hashemi says only government involvement can explain why the bombers were able to plant so many explosives unhindered.
An arrest warrant was issued on Monday for the vice-president on terror charges, which he denies. He is currently in Irbil in Iraqi Kurdistan, under the protection of the regional government.
