Wimbledon tennis champion Petra Kvitova and Tomas Berdych won the Hopman Cup for the Czech Republic after a 2-0 win over France in the final in Perth on Saturday.
Kvitova beat Marion Bartoli 7-5 6-1 in the opening match and Berdych defeated Richard Gasquet 7-6 6-4.
With the result decided, the mixed doubles match did not go ahead.
Czech Republic also won the title in 1989, with Jana Novotna and Petr Korda. Czechoslovakia previously won it in 1989.
The Hopman Cup tournament began in 1989. It is named in honour of Davis Cup champion Harry Hopman (1906-1985) of Australia.
