Volvo Ocean race resumes

The Volvo Ocean race has resumed with the six yachts leaving the Maldives in the Indian Ocean heading for Sanya in China.

Team Sanya led the fleet off the start line on the 3000 nautical mile leg.

This is the second stage of leg three after the boats were shipped from the United Arab Emirates to the Maldives to avoid pirates operating out of Somalia.

Team New Zealand's boat Camper is in second place overall behind Telefonica of Spain.
